Start Here: The First Step for Code School Students, Alumni, and People Considering a Coding Bootcamp

Welcome!

The road ahead is not easy, but the results speak for themselves. It's worth it. Completing a coding bootcamp does not guarantee a thriving career in tech but we have witnessed enough successful transitions into the industry to know it's no accident. Code schools provide a fast, accessible entry point into a tech career.

You learn a lot of actionable, job-ready skills during code school. At times, it's like drinking from a firehose. The constant flow of information is endless and overwhelming. It's fine, you are not expected to know it all.

Code schools are expected to cover a lot of information in a short amount of time. These programs primarily focus on the hard skills needed to contribute as an industry professional. Given the dash toward job-ready skills, there is rarely time to equip students with soft skills. Equally as important, soft skills go hand in hand with technical knowledge. To support the work of coding bootcamps, we have assembled resources that complement code school students' knowledge and experience.

Successful careers are collaborative.

We are not a coding bootcamp. There are plenty of plenty of excellent code schools and more are starting everyday. We come alongside those experiences to support students with the non-technical elements, in hopes of accelerating more students' successful transition into tech.

We offer presentations on topics such as:

  • A Day in the Life of a Developer
  • Hacking the Interview Process
  • Build a Better Portfolio

We write content, like:

  • Basic Toolkit for Software Engineers
  • Healthy Habits to Improve as a Software Engineer
  • Complete Guide to Creating a Professional Values System

We even published Code School Book to help students and alumni overcome imposter syndrome and kick-start their tech career.

If you find 1-2 nuggets useful, we consider it all worth it.
